Hi all, currently we are running Domino 8 on Windows Server 2003 with web access for users enabled. I have customized a login form in domcfg.nsf with our company's logo and that works great. My next thought is to improve how the users actually get to the page to login but I can't find much information on it so I'm hoping someone can help. Currently, if a user named John Doe wanted to log in to his mail through the web he would have to go to:
www.ourwebmailaddress.com/mail/jdoe.nsf
That would bring up the custom login page and once he provides his username and password it will take John Doe to his Inbox. This works fine for us and always has since the R5 days. However I'd like something where the user doesn't have to specify the path and filename. I would like the user to simply have to go to:
www.ourwebmailaddress.com
That would take them to the custom login page and when they provide their username and password the server matches the username against known shortnames in the master Address Book and routes to the appropriate Inbox. I'm fairly certain this must be possible, can anyone help me out with the setup and config?
Thanks alot, any help is greatly appreciated.
- Dave
